Board of directors
The board of directors performs the duties of strategic planning and oversight. They are also the backbone of successful organizational functioning. Identifying risks has become an integral part of board work because risks are becoming increasingly numerous and complex.
As per the Civil Society Act of Bhutan 2007 and the ensuing Civil Society Rules and Regulations 2017, the Board shall comprise of a minimum of five (5) Trustees and a maximum of nine (9) Trustees including the Chairperson, the Treasurer and the Secretary.

Besides being the Recipient of the ‘BEST LEADER’ Award from amongst 200+ Delegates from 30+ Countries for the Global Youth Peace Ambassador Program hosted by Republic of Maldives under the aegis of Regional Alliance for Fostering Youth in collaboration with Ministry of Youth, Sports & Community Empowerment (Government of Maldives), Maldives Development Research Institute, Institute for Economics & Peace (Australia, USA), One Young World (UK), Singapore Institute for Multidisciplinary Professionals, Ascendens Asia (Singapore), and various Public and Private Sectors Undertaking, he is also the QUALIFIER of Business Acceleration Program conducted by The IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, he is a Seasoned MENTOR to Entrepreneurs and an ASSOCIATE of a few International Social Clubs.
Rinchen Lethro (Mr.) who possess 10+ Years working knowledge of Training, Counselling, Educating, Social Entrepreneurship, Policy Development, Business Analytics, and Multi-media, etc. has Bachelors Degree from Sherubtse College (Royal University of Bhutan) majoring in Buddhist Literature, Philosophy & Communication.

Mr. Nidup Zangpo
Board Member
Mr Needrup Zangpo was the executive director of Journalists’ Association of Bhutan, editor of Bhutan Observer newspaper, and a researcher at the Centre for Educational Research and Development under the Royal University of Bhutan. He studied English and Indian literature in Bhutan, and media and journalism in India, Singapore, and Denmark. His professional interests include development journalism, Bhutan history, and culture.

Ms. Regita Gurung
Board Member
She holds a liberal arts degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and has specialised in Gender Studies. She graduated with a Summa Cum Laude (highest honor) award. Regita Gurung performs the role of Head of People for an NGO called Reflective Teens in Bangladesh has been awarded the position of Global Ambassador for Women and Children’s right by No Passport Voice. Regita Gurung has interned as the Communications and Program Advocacy Intern in the UN Resident Coordinator’s office in Bhutan and, has also helped many NGOs in organising projects and events. With an interest in fashion and entrepreneurship, Regita Gurung was the youngest and the only Bhutanese to reach the Top 6 position in an international pageant representing Bhutan and, has taken part in the global entrepreneurship competitions of the Hult Prize as an organiser and entrepreneurial participant.

Tsoki Tenzin
Board Member
Prior to joining the GNHCB in 2015, Tsoki worked with the UNDP for over a decade under different portfolios including operations and program administration. Tsoki currently serves as the Director, and oversees the Centre’s overall management in Bhutan. She believes every Bhutanese has a responsibility in nurturing the values of Gross National Happiness.
