Mr. Dechen Dorji
Chairperson of the Board
Mr. Dechen Dorji is currently the Country Representative for the WWF program in Bhutan. Prior to Joining the WWF, he served as policy researcher and Professional Assistant to His Majesty the King. He has a Masters degree in Environmental Studies from Yale University and an Undergraduate degree in Forestry from University of Wales, UK. Mr. Dorji has worked for close to 7 years in Eastern Bhutan managing regional forestry and agriculture development project funded by the World Bank and IFAD. He is also the founding Director of the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment located in lamegompa, Bumthang, where he worked for close to 4 years establishing the Institute in commemoration of the Centenary Celebrations of our Monarchy. Besides his professional portfolio, he actively engages in several charitable programs and takes keen interest in engaging with Youth issues and promoting activities of various civil society organizations in the country.
Mr. Rinchen Lethro
Mr. Rinchen Lethro is the current CEO of Padmakara Training Institute and also the founder and principal consultant of RL Consulting House. He graduated from Sherubtse College with Bachelor’s in Art’s. Before becoming the CEO of Padmakara Training Institute, he worked with several other agencies such as BBS, PHPA, GASENG Multi-Genius Consulting, State Mining Corporation Limited, Druk Gi Kalapingka, and Nyishar Training Institute. He has experience working with both national and international firms and is recognized as a thoughtful and vigilant exemplary leader; Self-disciplined and a Studious well-Behaved social Individual.
Mr. Rohit Adhikhari
Mr. Rohit Adhikhari has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He works under a leading local engineering consulting firm which also operates Bhutan’s only private material testing laboratory. Although from a technical background, Mr. Adhikhari has a niche for business development and administration and therefore manages most of the firm’s bidding process as well as the material testing laboratory. He was engaged in the firm since 2011 as part time and officially from 2016 as full time employee. Under his mentorship, the firm has successfully managed to secure and deliver several projects of national importance. Of late, he is also involved with Sr. consultants for financial modelling of management projects and detailed project reports.
Mr. Chand Kumar Rai
Mr. Chand Kumar Rai is self taught Bhutanese film maker, who aspires to inspire “meaningful creativity that transcends barriers”. Awarded a certificate of recognition for his contribution to visual story telling by The Queen Mother of Bhutan, Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuk, Chand has made short films, documentaries, numerous public service announcements on social issues. Chand is currently the head of Rabbit in The Twilight Production and to hope to continue making meaningful movies.
Mrs. Khandu Om Dorji
Ms. Khandu has rich work experience from both UN agencies and government. She is the proprietor of Gangtey Palace Expeditions
